Aiglon Alumni Businesses, Nonprofits, & Projects
Many Aiglonians go on to pursue interesting careers and build extraordinary businesses, all over the world. In the interest of showcasing former-student achievements, the FOAC is pleased to provide the following list of alumni-owned businesses and initiatives. Neither the FOAC nor the school is in a position to endorse any business or nonprofit, however, so please do your own due diligence. Still, we are always excited to report what alumni are up to and happy to present some of their success stories. Listings are free for verified alumni, but donations are always appreciated. All requests for inclusion on these pages are subject to approval by the FOAC. For more information about this directory, contact us at admin@foacusa.org. To request a free listing, click here.

This elegant property sits across the street from [legendary filmmaker] Federico Fellini’s old apartment, just a stone’s throw from the Spanish Steps. Here’s what Condé Nast Traveller had to say about it:
“Arches and patterned floor tiles, flowers stood so perfectly in their vases they must be on the payroll, and a golden light falling just right on the cobbles outside. Nothing is left to chance in Margutta 19. Even dust doesn’t fall where it’s not supposed to. Let’s make no bones about it, Margutta 19 is an expensive hotel, but it works hard to make itself worth the price, and the guests expect nothing less.”
Guests are invited to dine at the hotel’s award-winning gourmet restaurant, Assaggia, managed by Michelin-starred chef Angelo Troiani. www.romeluxurysuites.com/margutta-19
Established in 1987, Gerald Bland offers a unique collection of fine art, period and contemporary furniture as well as design services. With a formal background in 18th-century decorative arts, Gerald ran the English furniture department at Sotheby’s for 10 years. Twenty years ago, he opened his own fine arts and antiques store. His inventory has evolved over time to its current eclectic mix, which includes 20th-century selections, as well as custom designs, all showcased in a spacious midtown gallery in the Fine Arts Building on 59th Street. Gerald’s wife is an Aiglon alumna. https://www.geraldblandinc.com

Gstaad apparently has its own yacht club. Now we do, too. Aiglonians have always gotten together at full-blown reunions, at alumni homes, at restaurants, and at resorts around the world. Now, former Alpina and Belvedere housemaster Will Sutherland is organizing some Aiglon get-togethers on his classic pilot cutters, parked at St-Malo, on the scenic Brittany coast. Eric Gibson, school guardian ‘71–’72, is the Arts in Review editor at The Wall Street Journal. This is his latest book. “Eric Gibson is one of our best art editors at work today. In his (nearly nonexistent) spare time he is also a probing critic and astute essayist. One of his great interests in art history is the relatively neglected area of sculpture. Gibson has written all across the field. Be prepared: he will not only inform you, but make you think; not only make you look, but make you see."
―John Wilmerding, Sarofim Professor Emeritus in American Art, Princeton University
